Multiplex

New 2025

THREE SEASONS (click here (updated 3/24/25) to view printable calendar):

CLUB MANAGERS – DO NOT USE OLD FORMS.  The current forms are blue (150 bird multiplex). The purple sub-gauge forms have not changed you can still use those (50 bird sub-gauge). The forms are at the bottom of this page. When emailing your results be sure to include copies of all membership applications.  A fill-in membership form that can be saved and emailed is posted on our FORMS page – 2025-Membership Form (click to download) so you have it easily available.  If your club has conflicting shoot dates during the scheduled Multiplex week and you need to reschedule contact multiplex@shootpita.com beforehand for an alternate date (48-hour notice is required).

With the introduction of the new earned yardage table for 50-target events,  it is even more imperative that all clubs and/or cashiers submit their shoot reports and membership forms for new and renewals to the P.I.T.A. NO LATER THAN 4:00 p.m. on the Monday following the shoot for the multiplex. Example: January multiplex is the 5 -11 reports must be received by Monday, January 12, 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

This will enable us to keep accurate and up-to-date records for each shooter and ensure that information is accessible for shoots the following weekend.

Multi-plex earned yardage is calculated on the entire number of shooters participating in the multi-plex so, we MUST know that number as soon as possible following the shoot.  This will enable us to calculate earned yardage so that anyone who earned yardage in the multiplex will be able to shoot the correct yardage the following weekend. A score of 50 or 49 is an automactic 1- yard punch those who shoot either of those scores should shoot the new yardage at the very next shoot.

Any club who does not submit their shoot reports in a timley manner will risk revokation of their shoot certificate(s) for future shoots.

If you have any questions, please contact Kay Klundt at kay@shootpita.com or 208-312-0314.

What is the Multiplex?

THREE SEASONS (click here (updated 1/19/25) to view printable calendar):

  • FALL – September, October, November, December
  • WINTER – January, February, March, April
  • SUMMER – May, June, July, August

A PITA-registered event held the first full week of each month (Sunday-Saturday) consisting of 50 singles, 50 handicap, and 25 pair of doubles with an optional sub-gauge singles event.  The entry fee varies by club depending on the cost of targets and State/Provincial fees.  Example: If a Washington club charges $21 per event (includes WSPITA target fee and cashier/postage fee) plus a $4 PITA daily fee ($67.00 for all 3 events) this may allow the club money for some local HOA trophies.  Entry can be lower depending on the practice costs of the club and the added things they offer.  For more information on setting your club rate contact the Multiplex cashier at multiplex@shootpita.com or call Kay at 208-312-0314

The PITA event cashier will combine scores from ALL locations and compute LEWIS CLASS PURSE winners for each event singles, handicap, doubles, and sub-gauge singles. $8.00 of each entry forms the Lewis purse paid one group for every 10 entries, maximum of four groups, 60%-40% high gun-US Funds.

A Multiplex HOA Name Tag may be awarded to the HOA winner in each State/Province.

Rules/Guidelines:

  1. Held 1st full week of each month (Sunday to Saturday), starting September 1 – calendar below.  Exceptions are considered.
  2. Clubs can offer this on two different days each month, but shooters may only compete in each event (S, H, D) once per month.  See #9 below for marathon target information.
  3.  Multiplex can be scheduled on different days each month if needed.  Example: Saturday in May, Thursday in June and July, and Tuesday in August.
  4. The club must contact PITA at least 48 hours prior to hosting and receive PITA confirmation before holding events.  Email multiplex@shootpita.com to register providing dates & start times along with contact information (phone number & email) for the club representative responsible for submitting scores/fees.
  5. All PITA rules must be followed.  One and two-person squads require a referee.
  6. Shooters may shoot an event on different days at different clubs.  Singles at one club on one day, handicap at another club on another day, and doubles on a different day at a third club if they wish.  A PITA daily fee and applicable State/Provincial fees will be charged for each day. Shooters may not shoot any event twice.
  7. Reporting forms will be supplied by PITA.  Total to PITA is $9.25 ($8.00 Lewis plus $1.25 admin fee) and a $4.00 daily fee.  PITA membership: $25/annual, $12.50 for new member/under 18, add a wallet card for $5.  All State/Provincial fees also apply.
  8. Targets may be cross-registered with ATA.  The Multiplex Lewis option may be offered at an ATA Big 50 for those cross-registering to PITA.  Option cost is $9.25 per event plus a PITA daily fee of $4.00 and State/Provincial fees.
  9. Marathon targets may be shot in conjunction with a multiplex event.  These scores will not count for Multiplex and the $9.25 will not be charged.  Clubs need to request a separate reporting form to record/submit such targets.  All other fees apply.
  10. Payoff checks will be mailed after the December, April, and August events and HOA winners are announced.  If combined winnings paid by PITA during the year (Multiplex, Grand Pacific & Fall Classic) are $600 or more a W-9 must be supplied before winnings can be paid.
  11. Sub-gauge singles will still be offered along with the regular Multiplex events.
  12. The Multiplex Lewis may be offered as an option at another registered PITA event – a special reporting form is needed. Pins for HOA and HOA in each State/Province based on 600 total targets (Sub-Gauge Singles not included) are awarded each season.
  13. Pins are awarded based on your state/providence of residency – not where you shot your targets.
