Each year, the BCTA awards the BCTA All Star pins to the top 5 BC shooters with the highest average and the top BC shooters in Singles, Handicap and Doubles. To be eligible, shooters must have shot 1000 singles, 1000 handicap and 500 doubles targets. Click HERE to see more BCTA news.

LETTER TO MEMBERSHIP:

The PITA Board of Directors met again this past Wednesday night to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the 2020 Grand Pacific. As I stated previously, the health and safety of our membership is our No. 1 priority and with that in mind, we have decided not to hold the 2020 Grand Pacific in July. Over the coming weeks, we will decide whether to reschedule the Grand, cancel it completely, or to produce an abbreviated version of the event.

The decision of whether to hold state or provincial championships will be left to state and provincial associations and local club managers. With changes and new restrictions regarding COVID-19 taking place every day, we are going to have to constantly review and adapt. Again, I advise that you follow the direction of your state/provincial and local government. We will update you as changes take place. Please follow the PITA website and our Facebook page for more information regarding shoot cancellations and future PITA updates.

The PITA YES program has 4 great items in it’s 2020 fund raiser. We are putting together 4 fantastic coolers full of things-YETI, PELICAN, ENGLUND MARINE PESCARA, RITC with each cooler being a separate drawing. The drawings will be held at the Grand Pacific or when enough tickets have been sold to meet our annual scholarship goal. Over $10,000 is awarded in scholarships each year. Our program will be published online only. In the event that the Grand Pacific is canceled, we won’t have spent those funds printing a program that became obsolete.
We have set May 1, 2020, as the “drop-dead” date for deciding whether we will hold the Grand Pacific this year.

With a number of gun clubs currently closed we are extending the period to host the April Multiplex through Saturday, April 25th. If you will not be shooting as scheduled be sure to let us know. Due to the emergency prohibition on non-essential gatherings put in place by King County in response to the corona virus, Seattle Skeet and Trap Club has canceled the P.I.T.A. registered trap shoot scheduled for March 21 & 22.

We are sorry for the short notice but this prohibition was issued just yesterday and out of an abundance of caution SST will comply with it.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at our June shoot.

1/29/20: Congratulations to the 2020 Hall of Fame Inductees – Leo Pike and Dave Wade, both from BC. The ceremony will be at Evergreen Sportsman’s Club, Friday, July 10th at 7:30 p.m. during the WA State Shoot.

These two inductees will also be honored during the Grand Pacific with brochures, guest books and dvd’s of the ceremony shown on Thursday evening, July 23rd at both Medford and Hillsboro.

11/15/19: The PITA Hall of Fame committee has announced today the 2020 PITA Hall of Fame Induction will be held at the Washington State shoot in Evergreen in July, dates are July 8-12.

Further details will be forthcoming when the 2020 Inductees are announced and details are finalized.
